1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any Buildwize application ("App"), including Scanify, or by accessing our website at buildwize.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Buildwize provides mobile applications designed to help users scan, organize, and manage documents. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Document scanning using your device's camera
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for text extraction
  • PDF generation and export
  • Cloud synchronization with Google Drive
  • Document organization and categorization

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of our Apps, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use our Apps or Website to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Scan or process illegal documents
  • Use the service for any fraudulent purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

5. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Apps, Website, and all content, features, and functionality are owned by Buildwize and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit permission.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents you scan and create using our Apps. We do not claim ownership of your content. By using our cloud sync features, you grant us a limited license to process and transmit your content solely to provide the service.

6. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to our privacy practices.

7. Third-Party Services

Our Apps integrate with third-party services including Google Sign-In and Google Drive. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

8. Disclaimers

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Apps are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

OCR Accuracy

While we use advanced technology for text recognition, OCR is not 100% accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying extracted text before use. We are not liable for errors in OCR output.

Data Loss

While we implement reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important documents.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILDWIZE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of data or documents
  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Damages arising from OCR errors
  • Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Buildwize and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Apps or Website
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of third parties
  • Content you upload or create using our services

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our Website and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using our services at any time by uninstalling the App and revoking Google account permissions. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
